Dr. Constantine Vardavas, MD, MPH, PhD
Dr. Constantine Vardavas is an internationally recognised expert on tobacco regulatory science and is significantly experienced in leading projects related to TPD implementation in Europe. Affiliated with multiple institutions including ENSP, Harvard University, and the University of Crete, he has been the Scientific Team Leader of multiple projects to the EC to scientifically support the EC in tobacco product regulation.
In this framework, Dr. Vardavas is also the coordinator of the EU CHAFEA funded EUREST-FLAVOURS project (2018-2022) which aim to provide the EC with scientific, economic and technical expertise for the assessment of characterising flavours in tobacco products, with a view to facilitating the implementation of current tobacco control policies.
